Blast Doors

Every blast-resistant building needs a safe, durable blast-resistant door. At Hunter Buildings, we have complete quality control over the design and manufacturing of each door that goes into our buildings, so you will never doubt the safety of your personnel.

To meet its own internal exacting standards and delivery capabilities, Hunter Buildings brought the design and manufacturing of blast doors in-house. The 36” x 80”Hunter door has been subjected to the same blast test as our buildings, to ensure it would not fail in the field—and it did not.

A Hunter blast door is engineered to withstand a major explosion or blast without serious deformities, and can remain fully operable even after a blast. Extensive testing also reveals that a Hunter door can withstand a peak pressure of 17.9 psi, and exhibited leakage well below current industry safe haven standards.
