Hunter Buildings - Blast-Resistant Modular Buildings

Modular Construction

O

ur buildings naturally are recognized for blast-resistance, but one of their most welcomed features is the convenience of modular construction. The economical and logistical benefits apply across-the-board, regardless of the purpose for your particular building.

Permanent and Temporary Applications:

  • Modular construction averages around one-half the cost of traditional structures.
  • Construction time is greatly reduced by factory-assembling the buildings or complexes offsite.
  • Completed units are shipped to the site and require only minor field work to finish the project. (For example, a 1,000 square foot complex can be field-installed in less than a week, thereby shortening the presence of construction personnel on site and reducing risk exposure.)
  • When space is a challenge, modular construction enables the buildings to be joined or stacked in virtually endless combinations, making them workable at most any site.
  • When site locations do not permit the work (such as pile driving) necessary to construct concrete blast shelters, modular buildings can be installed with minimal site work and can even be rolled underneath overhead pipe bands.
  • In addition to the above advantages, HUNTER Buildings meets the need for short term construction and turnaround projects by leasing buildings that are ready for quick field-installation and immediate occupancy.

Blast and Electrical Classifications:

  • Unlike wood-frame construction, our buildings carry a blast rating and arrive ready to meet your specific area electrical classifications.
  • Worker Efficiency:

    • While wood-frame structures typically must be moved away from process areas, our modular blast-resistant buildings can be placed conveniently on site to maintain high production and ensure the safety and protection of key project personnel.
