Hunter’s Middle East division is seeking a skilled quality control (QC) engineer to join our growing team in the United Arab Emirates. The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented individual with a bachelor of engineering/bachelor of technology degree or a diploma in engineering or an equivalent field. They will also have three to five years of post-qualification experience in structured progressive steel fabrication. The work entails the following:
- Communication with clients in all QC matters relating to the project
- Providing solutions related to all QC issues
- Coordination between inspectors and other departments in matters relating to projects’ qualified person (QP) (e.g. engineering, fabrication, planning, inspection and NDT)
- Surveillance and monitoring of fabrication, welding, inspection, testing and NDT activities as per project specification requirements
- Monitoring and controlling welding activities by verifying the parameter
- Verification of dimensional reports for components in fit-up, after welding
- Identification of unique requirements (welding and painting sequence) and/or special processes, special controls and examination required for specific activities during project execution
- Interaction with all disciplines in each entity throughout the project to ensure quality requirements are met
- Monitoring and reviewing the preparation and compilation of QC documents for final dossier and coordination with client inspectors for final approval
